As part of National Recycling Week we are giving you the opportunity to try Paddle Boarding and help clear the canal of litter!
Merchant Square is a great canal-side spot to escape the hectic London life, relax and get in touch with nature. Unfortunately, in places, the canal is still blighted by litter and plastic waste. Much of this litter ends up in open ocean, is ingested by fish and marine mammals and enters the food chain. Help us keep our waterways cleaner! Merchant Square has joined forces with Active360 and Go Boat to arrange a lunchtime clean-up operation of the basin.
Together, we want to encourage individual and group action to refuse, reduce, reuse and recycle plastic, starting at home in London. Join us in clearing the canal of litter and plastic waste, using stand-up paddleboards and canoes.
