Mindful March workshops are back to Merchant Square
Free wellness classes – Sound bath, Yoga and Guided Mindfulness
Enjoy one day of free workshops designed to reduce stress and support mindfulness. The classes are free to attend and available by booking, on a first come first served basis. Booking will go live on Monday 4 March on our website.
Wednesday, 20 March, 5pm – 5:30pm Guided Mindfulness
As part of our Mindful March series, we have a 30-minute guided mindfulness practice. Join our mindfulness teacher at the Pavilion for 30 minutes of deep relaxation using techniques including breath and visualisation.
Mindfulness is known to help reduce stress, improve focus, and calm the nervous system. Mindfulness is suited to all, and beginners are welcome. Dress: come as you are. You’ll either be seated or laying on a mat depending on your preference.
Wednesday, 20 March, 5:45pm – 6:30pm Yoga
We have an Energising Yoga Flow to bring your focus to the body and mind. A mix of pranayama (breath) and asanas (sequences/poses), our teacher will guide you through a 60-minute practice which is suitable for all levels as adaptations will be provided. The class will conclude with a beautiful savasana leaving you refreshed and relaxed.
Please wear leisure-wear suitable for yoga. Mats are provided.
Wednesday, 20 March, 6:45pm – 7:45pm Sound Bath
We conclude our Mindful March series with a very special Sound Bath. Sound Baths consist of the body being bathed in sound frequencies (waves). Dress: whatever you feel comfortable in as you’ll be laying down for an hour. Please note: the session is not suitable in the first trimester of pregnancy, those with tinnitus, or those with pacemakers or metal plates in the body.
Additional Information
- Classes are free to attend and a maximum of two tickets per person is available.
- The Pavilion is the building with big screen, in front of Fountain Maze, next to the Lockhouse. The event will be hosted on the first floor.
- Classes are available on a first come first served basis and spaces are limited. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your class at least 48 hours in advance to allow others to join the class.
- No shows may be denied booking future classes
