Join us for an afternoon of festive music on the Floating Pocket Park to celebrate the healing power of music with charity organisation Music in Hospitals.
We are delighted to support Music in Hospitals who have invited hospital patients, hospital staff, and the local community to enjoy an hour of feel good music over lunch. Relax to musical delights from Paul Kerr and the Boneshaker Band and the Phoebe Gorry Jazz Trio, all of whom are regular visitors to hospital patients including those at St Mary’s Paddington. The event will end with a festive singalong inviting all to get involved!
About Music in Hospitals
Every year, professional musicians share live music with over 10,000 people from across the UK, who may not otherwise get to experience it. This includes children and adults who are living with health and wellbeing challenges and those living with Dementia, who have mental health problems, or who are seriously ill.
Live music can transform relationships between patients, families, health and care professionals, residents, and carers. When people enjoy music together, they feel more connected to each other, which leads to more personalised care. Musicians are still unable to perform in hospitals, and therefore cannot reach people that have little, if any access to music. The more support Music in Hospitals receive, the more people will benefit from the healing power of live music. You can find out more about Music in Hospitals here.
The event is free to attend, but if you would like to make a donation, you can text MUSIC 5 to 70470 to donate £5 (texts cost £5 plus one standard rate message). Collection buckets will also be available on the day of the concert or you can donate online here.
