Challenge your friends to a game of beach volleyball by the canal
Enjoy a rare opportunity to play outdoor beach volleyball in the city this Summer. If volleyball isn’t your thing, badminton is also available to play!Â
Bookings are from 9am – 3pm from Monday to Thursday, and 9am – 5pm on Friday with the latest booking being at 5.00 – 6.00pm, starting from June 3rd.
The beach area is available to everyone, you just need to send us an email with your preferred date and times and we will schedule your session.
Volleyballs, rackets and shuttle cocks will be provided, and can be collected at the reception of number 5 Merchant Square. The beach will be yours for an hour, and you must then return the borrowed items to the reception at the end of your game.It’s free to play but we’ll ask for your ID as a deposit at the reception to ensure our kit is returned.Â

The beach is located in front of 5 Merchant Square by North Wharf Road.
You will have the beach for one hour after signing in. If the area is in use, you can reserve a space at the reception.
If the weather is bad, the area will be unavailable for use.
Please don’t hang on the net as this will cause it to break.
Badminton can be played in teams of up to 8 people.
Please be careful with our equipment. If you break or damage anything, you may be asked to replace it.
