£1,650 raised for COSMIC from the Rubber Duck Race 2019
The Annual Rubber Duck Race took place in Merchant Square on Thursday 25th July 2019 for COSMIC (Children of St. Mary’s Intensive Care Unit) at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Over 500 Rubber Ducks were thrown of St. Mary’s bridge and raced over 150 metres to the finish line in Paddington Basin as all those who sponsored £3 for a rubber duck watched in excitement.
There were 3 winning Rubber Ducks of the day with the top prize getting a pair of Eurostar tickets donated to COSMIC Charity for the event and the runners-up getting vouchers for our on-site retailers.
£1,650 was raised for COSMIC from the Rubber Duck race which was brilliant news for the team who are currently finishing parent’s accommodation in the ward so they can be close to their children.
It was an overall great success with the last of the Rubber Ducks selling out early Thursday morning and plenty of money raised for the charity once again!
