UK’s first Float-in Cinema in September at Merchant Square
We are very excited to announce that we are working with Openaire, Canal & River Trust and GoBoat in running London’s first Float-in Cinema.
16 of GoBoats eco-boats will provide seating for up to 128 people at this outdoor cinematic experience on the canal and dozens of deckchairs for those who want to stay on land.
On arrival, guests will captain their self-drive vessel around Little Venice before mooring back at Merchant Square.
A giant 6x3m Hi-res LED video screen facing the water will show blockbuster hits such as Titanic and A Star Is Born. High quality audio will be provided via sanitised wireless headphones to ensure an uninterrupted experience.
Due to launch on Wednesday 2nd September, the line-up includes afternoon showings of family favourites such as Toy Story and The Lion Kings, plus special singalong showings in the evening of Grease, Rocketman and The Greatest Showman.
Popcorn and snacks will be available to order via a dedicated app and delivered straight to your boat or deckchair.
To tie in with the Little Venice theme, award winning artisan pasta chef RaviOllie will be setting up a pop-up kitchen on the water’s edge to provide delicious freshly cooked Italian food. Audiences can order without leaving their boat via the app and waiting staff will bring it to you.
