Practice yoga and Pilates in the unique setting of the canal this August
Every Tuesday in August between 6pm – 7pm, we are offering free Paddleboard yoga sessions in partnership with Active 360.
Switch your yoga matt for a Paddleboard and float through Merchant Square in the downward dog position. Yoga on the water gives you an additional challenge to the traditional kind, exposing you to elements that forces you to maximise your core stability. No previous experience is necessary and people of all levels are welcome.
Each week will alternate between yoga and Pilates. The schedule is outlined below:
2nd August – Yoga
9th August – Pilates
16th August – Yoga
23rd August – Pilates
30th August – Yoga
What do I wear? You can wear your usual yoga clothing, but life jackets will be provided in case you fall into the canal! We also suggest bringing a spare change of clothing for the same reason.
Where do I go? Classes will begin at Active 360 by the Rolling Bridge. This is just beyond the GoBoat multicolour kiosk. If you get lost, ask a member of the team in green to direct you to Active 360.
I’ve never been on a Paddleboard or practiced Yoga. Can I still join? Absolutely! People at all levels are welcome, and different versions of the exercises will be provided to allow you to get the most out of your session.
