The Dragon Boat Race is back! This fun-packed event raises money for COSMIC charity
We are thrilled to confirm the COSMIC Dragon Boat Race will return to Merchant Square on Thursday 25th July.
This 2000-year-old tradition sees teams of 16 rowers and one drummer race down the length of Merchant Square canal, in a bid to reach the finish line and take home the trophy. Fancy dress is encouraged, with previous teams dressed as Minions, Drag Queens and Pirates. Crews are made up of people from the local area – work colleagues – families and friends all coming together to raise money for COSMIC Charity, an incredible organisation that supports children’s and neonatal intensive care units at St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte’s hospital.
The event promises a full day of fun and excitement, with food and drink vendors, live music and entertainment much more!
